Greetings to all, After my site changed from an underground site to a security portal, google approved my adsense account. I installed the code. I saw the ads immediately after I placed the code then nothing. I have signed up 10 days ago so it is not the delay due to old banned accounts... I'm trying to understand if google is penalizing me...these are the fatcs: - In my control panel I can see only 9 or 10 impressions per day - Sometimes I see Public Service ads (is this the name?) - When I placed my own url to the alternate ads they didn't appear - When I used Shawn's google sandbox tools it says there are no ads to show (but if so, why did I see the ads the first time I placed the code??) - I use iframes (within days I'll get rid of them using includes) but I checked "Ad will be placed on a framed page." and I place the ad in the rich content page frame. The only thing I can think of is that the response.redirect i use to build the page with frames is the cause of the problem. I made a little research and found out that google doesn't like 302 redirects but when I check my headers with an online http header checker I get a 200. ( the redirect is not placed in the headers but in the asp code, this is why I get 200) I can't understand what's going on as I'm completely new to adsense and his tricks. I tried to regenerate the code with no luck. Maybe someone of you has an easy response to my problem (I have mailed Google...and guess what? no reply so far) My site is http://www.hackerscenter.com Thanks in advance
Where on the page have you tried installing the code? It might not be able to find content as a result of your layout.
30 minutes after I wrote this thread I receive an email from google saying my site is not compliant with their policy so the ads couldn't be showed. I have never had such problems with other big similar companies. Mine is a security site with a past as hacking site. Now it has completely new layout and above all contents are completely legal and related to security and networking. Anyway I want to apologise with you all, and sadly close the thread here, thanks anyway.
It seems that all banned websites from Adsense program have the similar output when you check with Adsense preview tool: -e21234214
the fact is that they have not banned me. at first they let me in then said they have not ads to show on a hacking site. probably they're completely blind or completely ignorant. if you look www.hackershompeage.com, it's a completely illegal site full of adsense ads. Now I invite you to make a comparison between my site and that... I mailed them back to try to take them to reason.
ehehe Will, I'll need a lot of it I know...but I try... they're loosing a serious publisher with 10000 page views everyday (and I'm loosing a lot of money from my side)...I'll try something else....
Did you have a site that was not compliant, then change the site to one that was and once approved, switched it back to the non compliant site? Even if you have a site that is approved and are the webmaster of a non-compliant site, that does not entitle you to place your ads on the non-compliant site. PM me the url if you would like...
No friend. I was the webmaster of a site that was not compliant. After I changed *completely* it (graphics, layout and contents) it has been accepted! I have even changed my referers that now are only trusted security sites. I used that url to join adsense and not another to trick them. After some days they told me they accepted me but they can't deliver ads to non compliant sites... my url is http://www.hackerscenter.com . while I write here I'm making some improvements and optimizations.
I am going to go out on a limb here, but I think your url may be to blame. Not only that, but if that was the same url as the old 'underground' site, then that too may be your cuplrit. I didnt visit your website, but if I didnt know better, and judging purely by the url, I would not think that AdSense would be allowed to be displayed on the site.
This is just "racism". This is a judgement given for skin color. I have qualified contents + a professional layout. Should I acquire another domain name and place a 301 redirect in order to have adsense? I won't do it just because I don't want to make money from my site at any cost. Anyone (Google) saying my domain name is to blame can go to hell.
because I don't want to make money from my site at any cost? Then why are fussing over adsense? I am very confused right now. For sure your name could be the culprit. Say my domain was ugly-naked-chicks..... but my content was computer related.... do you really think Google would care about the content if my domain broke their TOS?
I meant that I've not built my site for making money from it (as 90% of people do). But discussing why I work on my site is off-topic. I don't think chicks and computer are related to each other like "security" and "hacking". One is the cause of the other. One created the other. Anyway this discussion is taking nowhere.
