With AdSense change to allow multiple instances of thier script on the same page, I've gone ahead and done that. But now I have question about the Impressions column on the AdSense report. Oddly (or perhaps not so oddly) when I added multiple instances my page impressions increased by about 1/3. This would match up with the sites I added the multiple scripts too. Say for example I get 5,000 a day for 5 channels, each channel being a seperate site. Each site gets 1,000 impressions a day. I add another banner to one of the sites, and now my total shows 6,000. So I'm thinking Google counts each script call as a page view. So a single page with three AdSense banners results in 3 page impressions on your AdSense report. Any thoughts....?
that was what I assumed would happen, but someone in this forum suggested that isn't the case- I haven't tried multiple ads personally yet.
We can confirm from our stats that this is correct. If Google only has enough ads to fill two ad units, it will count as 2 impressions (the one without ads will NOT count). Geir
