This has most likely been asked before but here goes. I am about to go live with a php based site and the easy way to implement adsense there would just be to dump it in the header.inc or the footer.inc. That is going to load an awful lot of ads and there is nothing in those inc pages to target. The site only has about 8 main pages not counting the article section that are open to the public So I am thinking to place adsense on the main page of the site as there are some good keywords there. On a page that offers a free service that is not widely available for free again strong keywords here. And in the articles section where I have several original articles and several very on topic ones. All articles have strong keywords related to the topic. I am thinking that this way I won't be serving a lot of ads but the ones I serve will be more targeted. Am I anywhere close to having this right? Or is the shotgun better than a rifle? Colbyt
Not sure exactly what you mean by the above. I am using a customized version of a script I purchased for the main part of the site along with a few added features. sNews for the article section. I went ahead and went live with only the ads in the article section. The link in the sig line should take you to the main site.
use server side to place your adds and you add code to which ever the pages you like but make sure that that page consists of some valuable info (compliance with adsense TOS) Good Luck Sreeni
Checked out your site. Looks pretty cool. You probably want to add Leaderboard code in the header include file(If it will fit without stretching the screen for your 800x600 users), it will appear in all pages. You may be able to add a skyscaper along side the pictures--- I may be wrong, but Google is kind of picky with ads right next to or on the same page with images that may have copyright issues...check their TOS.
