Adsense on sites that are not your own?

I'm preparing a special script where people will download a full website.

The sites that people download will have have my adsense on them until the person changes it to their own.

I've seen many people do this, but I might as well ask anyway.

    Is this ok?

Yes, you may do so, but beware that your script may be abused.

The thing is I can't control what they do with the site, and guess its possible some stupid person could break the adsense rules with my own adsense on there.

Actually no one can. anyone could take anothers adsense.:(

I have seen people putting their code in free to download templates, plugins etc.

But I suggest you contact adsense support the confirm.

On your AdSense page, click on "Help" on the top right corner.
    This brings you to https://www.google.com/adsense/support/
Then you can click on "Contacting AdSense" after checking that no entry in their online help answers your question.

It depends on what type of script you have... make sure to include rules.

You CAN, however, put out a whitelist in your control panel which lists sites that ARE allowed to display your code. If the site is not on the list, the ads are still shown, but you won't get credit or blame for them.
