I'm building a website with short clips from movies something like the 5 second movies by that guy with the glasses (google it to get they idea, they're pretty funny actually ) But I'm not sure if I would be allowed to put adsense on my website? Will they be considered a copyright even though they are short 5-10 second movie clips? The website I mentioned above HAS adsense even on his 5 second movies category. How is that possible? He is even famous enough for his issues with the studios because of copyright infringement while he was posting his short movies at youtube, but after they put them on their own website, no one pursued them anymore? How is this possible? Maybe there is some kind of a loophole to all of this?
If he is doing policy violations he will be caught one day and banned. There is no point in doing the same as he is doing it. You can report the website to google by clciking on ad choices.
I know, but he is pretty popular so I don't believe he would be making such a risk with putting adsense on a copyright content. He must have some kind of a contract with the studios, and that is what I'm really interested in. Is there a way to make a contract with the studios and get approved to show material from their movies legally? He is promoting their movies after all, THEY are the ones who should be thanking him. And I will be doing the same with my website too! I personally have bought and watched a few movies that I saw at 5 second movies, but didn't know existed at all.
