Adsense on Search Pages

I had someone recently telling me that Adsense is no longer allowing ads to appear on search result pages, so they wanted me to allow them to NOT display the ads on search result pages in the php link directory.

    1) Do you agree that it is best to remove ads from these pages?
    2) What constitutes a search? Latest Links or Posts? Most Hits? Or just keyword based searches?
