I read somewhere that I can't place an ad on a personal page, but unfortunately I can't find that on google's TOS. I found this: - No Google ad may be placed on any non-content-based pages. Anyway, my question is that I don't understand well what is a personal page. If they are referring , for example, to pages like "User CP" pages here at DP or maybe they refer to something broader. For example if I have a website where users log in and leave personal datas, I will not put an ad on their setup/edit personal data pages, but I would like to put ads on the public part of their pages, for example a page where they show who they are with photos and stuff. Am I wrong? Please don't flame me 'cause I posted ithis on the "placement" group too..my mistake (I don't know how to remove the other one)
As far as i know, ads are shown on most profiles of any sites you visit. Its not something I've come across. Although they say not to put ads on pages which have no content eg text/story. the odd page out of thousands would be ok, but if its one out of ten then maybe it wouldnt
I haven't heard of any rule banning the use of AdSense on personal pages. However, I would refrain from placing ads on these types of pages incase they attract the negative attention of your rivals or enemies.
