AdSense on My Space and other Blogs?

    Yola!
I've been doing content writing for a while now, and have also started copy-writing lately, and just today, i realised if everyone else is making money of ad revenue through their websites, WHY SHOULDN'T I?
Thing is, even though i have been doing content writing for various people, i never really understood the AdSense business. Also, this sort of thing wouldn't be easy for me, because to tell you the truth, i dont know how to design or run a website.
So to make it easier, i was wondering if AdSense works on MySpace or any other free blogging websites. I wouldn't mind setting up an interesting site, and generate a little extra revenue. Although i believe it would only be profitable if i didn't have to spend money on buying a domain and then a designer.
So, i'd appreciate it if you guys would let me know the best way to startup such a website. Plus since this is an ad-revenue sharing forum, i'd like to sign up with AdSense, and benifit from that too.

Yes, thats one of the problems with HighFLyer!! I like to explore every darn oppurtuinty. Actually thats a good thing. Right?!

edit: i just realised that it would have been a better idea to post this in the AdSense subforum. how very noobish of me!!! Anyways, mods please move this thread if you deem it inappropriate for this forum. Although, this is..sorta.. a general marketing inquiry!!

You can't put adsense on myspace, but if your a good writer a blog could work out for you as everythings basically setup for you, and its a clean CSS layout. If you haven't already, check out blogger.com, can get a blog running in minutes, with adsense. PM me your rates for writing =)

    good luck!

    * can't* parse Nucleus...

I tried putting ads on my nucleus blog, but all I got were ads about translation. Totally not relevant, and 2 weeks later same thing after a fresh AdSense crawl.

Finally I pulled the ads because they were not relevant and were not getting clicked. So my word of advice - don't use nucleus for AdSense.

Wordpress on your own domain is a great way to go. However, if you went with a blog hosted on blogger.com, you could probably rank a lot easier in the search engines.

I guess i'll start out with a blog hosted on blogger, and once i've worked on it i'll get my own domain. The main thing here is traffic, so do you think i would rank better if i got my own domain (after establishing the blog wiht good content) or if i continued with blogger?

    how?

just because you get a link from a page on blogger

and sub-domains start fresh in the sandbox/age process ;)

i would much rather have my own domain, and you can still get a link back from blogger:p

    <$10 FOR A DOMAIN:)

you can use blogger.com and have a blog started with in 15min but blogger.com is somthing you should use if you know nothing about setting up a site.

If you can get a domain a little hosting and set up word press i would recommend that instead of blogger.com

blogger.com blogs have good ranking in MSN, make decent backlinks of your blogs and you'll rank well in MSN..till they sort out their algos again. Good Luck! :)
