I am planning to start an insurance website [general info]. I would like to know how profitable is adsense on insurance niche. I have heard cpc is high on insurance keywords. W'd like to hear from members who are already running an established insurance site with adsense on it.
i am running bestfreeinsurancenews.com and although i dont know if i am allowed to tell you how much money im making from adsense, i will say that it is not worth the effort. the cost per click may be higher but so many people have tried to make these sites due to this, the traffic is very low. yes it is a high paying keyword, but organic traffic is very hard due to TONS and TONS of other sites just like mine. your better off making a site with lower paying keyword and a higher traffic niche. lots of little clicks can add up quick! but you wont find much traffic from this niche!
from what i read, there is a high competition yes, but you also must have very good content, to have relevant ads displayed in your ads. If you dont have adsense yet, dont apply right now, becoz you wont get accepted with little contents.
Thanks for the suggestions. BTW I already have an active adsense account. W'd like to hear from others as well.
Yes, you can use AdSense in that niche. In my opinion some affiliate program will make you more money than AdSense if it's a quality sit and not just MFA. Check on Commission Junction for some offers.
I've found it to bring in nice money on a per click basis, but you've got to get the clicks. I don't have an insurance site, but I do have a few insurance articles because the site offers tips and advice on a variety of topics. I've found that when readers click on the insurance ads, my revenue for the day is a lot nicer.
Insuerance is really to hard to get good position, and sometimes you will only get usd0.01 per click.
