Adsense on Image Hosting Sites - Against Google's TOS?

Does Google allow Adsense to be displayed on the same page as full sized images on image hosting sites?

    Here's an example:

Would this be against Google's TOS?

Would it make a difference if there was more than just the picture result, for example relevant content describing the site's service?

I'm thinking of contacting Google just to make sure everything's OK, but I thought I'd ask here in case someone ran into the same situation.

*** Mods, feel free to move this post to the Adsense Policies section. (I guess it's time to call it a night! )

The only people that will be able to tell you if it's allowed or not will be Google themselves.

The thing with Adsense ads is that they are content based, so without having any other content aside from images, you will see ads that's not very related to your site, or it will mostly show your competitors sites.

Also Google requires that you have permission from the copyright owner for the images you have on your site. I see you are allowing users to upload images themselves... services like these are wide open for exploit with people uploading copyrighted images. You might have some problems with that.

I would suggest you consider using CPM advertising where you get paid for impressions. Seeing as your site is bound to get quite a lot of impressions that might be the better option. Casale and Fastclick are very good if you can get accepted.

Wait for Google's reply. Perhaps they will tell you that there's no problem.

Thanks for the quick replies, I appreciate it. I'll also check out Casale and Fastclick (even though I can't stand those free smilies ads that are on just about every entertainment sites on the net, I'm sure it pays well).
