    Hi,

I am new here and to the advertisements on the web too.
However, I like to give it a go.

I would like to have some views about adding a forum to my site, and put the Goggle advertisements on it.
I have seen many of these.

    The main question:
Where to get forums, what allows to insert the google code ?
    Exist some free ?
Or need to be in the "business" category ad pay for it some hundreds of dollars ,

Thanks in advance for all contribution

    Attila

phpBB is free. Don't expect to make much money with Adsense on forums.

    Thanks...

maybe it was not clear from the question: Is that possible to insert the google code in phpBB?

The forums would be rather feature on my sites.... just for trying.

Yes most forum software has a mod that allows you to enter adsense code...including phpbb.

you don't need a mod.just put the code in the template where you want the ad to be.
there are some mods that will put an ad in a certain place though.

i love SMF (simplemachines.org - free) befor coming to vbulletein (its not free), so you should try SMF and download Admanagement mod for it........
i thinks SMF is better then PHPBB because it has less administrative work to do!

I am using PunBB. It is very easy to configure, light and less complicated.

In PunBB addition of any modes is very easy, all has step by step procedures and the Adsense mod of PunBB is very flexible and has a lot of options.

The support of the punbb guys are excellent. They have a online support system and you will get solutions to your problems with in minutes.

But the look and fell of PunBB is like a typical open source thingy, you can change it by modifying some css files.

Yeah a mod's not necessary, just check out your templates. I think there are adsense mods out there also, bear in mind you can only have three ad units per page so don't go inserting code that will get repeated after a post in a thread ;)

adsense on forums works well only if u got a lot of visitors say thousands per day coz forums usually score less on adsense compared to other sites..thats what i feel...

    Yaa wisegeek is correct.

forums are basically meant to create robust online communities for sites even with low traffic volumes since people often return to the site on a regular basis to catch up on whats happened since then.

And also most forums people who want to post have to register by giving their email address and names, this allows you to follow up and email them in the future with information about your product or service.

i think CPC is not a good choice for making revenues from forums

SMF is a good free forum and integrates well with many things. Be careful not to add your adsense on pages that allow posting of information.

If you just do a search for SMF go to there main site download the forum then the mod for the forum to insert adsense ads.

It is simple really or if you have cpanel with fantastico you can install SMF for free with a few clicks of the mouse.
