Is it safe to place Adsense ads inside clients' cPanel? (I am a hosting reseller). I've seen this before but I'm unsure if this goes against their policies.

I never heard anyone using it there. Well, this is a tricky question.
I cant answer it. They allow it on protected pages.

To be more precise, HelioHost.org does it.

if any web host of mine ever did that i would move hosts. Sort of thing you expect may be from a free host but never a paid one.

I am thinking of doing this because I am giving away free hosting. But this is not the point. Is it safe to do it or can I get banned?

I don't know if I understood you correctly, but I saw this on heliohost, a free hosting provider...

when i was running my own free hosting site, i used adsense within the control panel but never got a whole lot of clicks there. mainly because most of the users know what google adsense ads are and once they see it, they know what to expect and what to do. even if someone clicks on it for the first time, you will most likely not get the 2nd click from the same person. unless you have ton of accounts and lots of new accounts are created on a daily basis, i wouldn;t bother putting adsense on cPanel
