    Hey All,

Can you have adsense on your site if some of the portion of your site as adult content?

Say if one has a site which is separated into different conent

    mysite.com/Niche-1
    mysite.com/Niche-2

And niceh 2 has adult content and niche 1 doesn't ...

So that said is adsense allowed on Niche1 ???

I don't think this would be allowed, Google may view it as being against their TOS. The best way to be sure is to contact them directly.

I used to think they didn't previously, but I happened to click an ad on a celebrity blog about teen girls' bikinis, and it led to an adult site.....thankfully I was saved by the "content warning" page!

I think there's no problem as long as you don't put adsense ads on the adult pages.. but, it's risky as both sites has same domain. It's better to buy another domain for that adult site.

If you're site contains adult content, but the ads are not on that adult page, there is still a chance that you could be removed. It could be Google's accidental mistake, but the chance of them actually unbanning you form the network would be slim.

It's not something I would risk.

mmmm I have seen some large sites have adsense on adult sites, but like you have stated the ad's can not be on the adult pages and strict rules need to be applied, like on/off adult filter, adult warnings etc. So switch off the adult content and it's family safe - then adsense should be fine, switch on adult content and allow adult mterial then no ad's can be shown.

it is too dangerous to do so, you'd better email google adsense for help and post your skills here.

Policies say that it's not allowed on Sites that have such and such content. To me, that means any page on the site would not be allowed to have it. That's a strict interpretation of the rules, but best not to take chances.

    Oh, and there's a saying:

"Any fool can learn from his own mistakes, it takes a wise man to learn from the mistakes of others" :)

OK to back up my point that you can have adult content and adsense on the one site visit :

    http://www.metacafe.com

Now have a look at the ad's on the video pages - Google Adsense !!

Oh my and what is that up the top ? an adult filter ? and what's that used for ? to turn the adult videos on and off .... oh so wait .... you can have adult content and adsense on the same site .... as long as the adsense ad's are not on the adult pages and you have a adult content filtration system .... well bugger me ....

Metacafe probably is a premium publisher. They always willing to bend rules a bit or willing ignore errors of those big players.

As I said before, it is not something you want to risk.
And as bluearrow said, I am sure MetaCafe is making BANK with Google Ads and I'm sure they pull some strings for them as well. If you're just a small publisher they really don't care.

If it's even questionable, you're gone.
