Adsense on a social network?

    Ok,I have one problem,my friend is making a social network and he want's that the ads which will be displayed are relevant to the users profile,specially the hobby part or job part,so is there a way to target ads which would be relevant to the users hobby or job.

    So if the user writes that his hobby is golf,only relevant ads must appear,is this possible?
