Adsense not showing relevant ads on homepage, only on internal pages

    Hi all,

I started a blog this weekend using the ProSense theme. There's something really weird going though, on my index adsense is showing completely unrelated ads about wordpress and blogging, and in the wrong language! (my site is not in english, but the ads are)

On my internal pages, adsense is showing extremely targeted good ads!

Now, when I first ran my ProSense theme, of course there where some test links to wordpress documentation etc, in english.

But now that's all gone and adsense is still showing these kind of ads...Is it just adsense 'lagging behind' and does it take a while to update?

You might have to wait for 2-3 days or longer till your ads generate proper ads in the language that you want.

    Be Patient!

As google scans your pages, it also informs adsense to place in the most relevant ads. You just need to wait for a while before results come.

Try to see again next week. If it still the same view, maybe you must change your meta keywords. Find some keyword or keywords phrase that related to your blog contents..

It's because you may have more than one or two articles in your home page. So many keywords on a single page this may be one reason to mismatching of ads. Google spider takes some time to scan your page and assign relevant ads. If ads are relevant then automatically ctr will be low, so my advice is to hide ads in home page so that we can increase our ecpm and decrease bounce rate for a single change.

Are you sure this will solve this problem? Im using "section targetting" on my posts, still the homepage does not show relevant ads, just internal post pages do.

Home page shows ads about blogging and wordpress.

What's your website? I'm not really sure but I think you should only use this once per page.

    My website is http://telemovel.me

You will see that the internal pages display ads in portuguese which is correct (I'm using section targeting code on my posts).

The homepage shows completely unrealted ads in englush about blogging and wordpress.

    Take a look.

I would just give it a few days and it should update with relevant ads.

Well, wait for few days if this still occur, then increase your homepage keyword density.
