Hello everyone, I need your opinions on something.... Which is more profitable and worth it: Adsense niche sites, or a paid membership site/forum? I am not new to adsense niche sites, but I am to paid forums or sites, or maybe forums in general..... I've heard it is a better way for income, but don't know if it is a hassle hiring mods and keeping up with the site and watching it......... I am a lazy person, but if something is worth it in the long run, I might push away laziness..... For any forums owners here, how is it going?
If you find a way to get people to pay you a monthly fee for something it will be 100 times better then using ppc networks or affiliate marketing since members will keep paying you month after month.. However it is not so easy to achieve this.
Well, Adsense niche sites are a great source of passive income. Once you get them going, you don't need to do a lot except add a bit of content now and then and do some link building every month or two. Then they bring in my while you sleep. With membership sites you have to constantly be recruiting members (even if you have a great site, people won't stick around forever) and constantly adding content to make it valuable. If you have the money, you can outsource some of that, but if you have to do most of the work yourself, you'll find membership sites keep you quite busy. Of course, there's no reason you can't do both. People often need some good free information before they consider paying for a membership site. You could run Adsense on the free side and one of the perks for members would be ad-free content.
