Adsense Myth???

I started using adsense two years ago, I have used it in several sites. One of the common statements I have read here and somewhere else is that without unique content your site will be penalized and it will be de-indexed and adsense will be removed. I think this is only partially true, it is true if a site is set up with bad structure, navigation and copied content; basically no useful information where the visitor stays for two seconds and leaves. If a site is built with a very good structure, easy navigation and it is truly useful to a reader where they stay and navigate throughout the site then even with copied content the site should be ok for adsense. I have sites that have mostly youtube videos about games and visitors stay navigating for a good time and traffic has steadily gone up because the site is useful.

I think just to say copied content will be penalized no matter what is a myth, adsense will work with copied content as long as the site is useful to the readers.

    What do you think?

I think adsense will work with copied content as long as nobody reports the site to them.

CNN, Yahoo, and many major websites have content from other sources such as AP, blogs; and of course they give credit to these sources but I don't think Google will ever penalize these sites, so I think again it depends on the quality of the site.

I'll do one on CNN, the point is. It's not as bad as people make it seem.

AdSense does take action again STOLEN content and LOW QUALITY websites.
If you steal content from others you might get reported and banned. (Read More)
If you only post articles from EzineArticles and so on, then your site will be of such low quality that you might get a warning or get banned.

This is my point, some people want money so quick that all they do is steal content posting them in very bad sites. I mentioned CNN, yahoo, doing it all the time linking back to the source; this is obviously good for the source since they now have a link to these major websites so in these case both parties gain. Ezine articles are all over the place, I remember finding my articles in many websites but I didn't care because my link was in there, actually I did care because that meant I was being linked. In essence it depends on how you do things.

Just saying copied content will get you banned is misinforming because there are many factors to it, there are two extremes basically.

if the contents are not your and the owners ask you to remove - then just do so to comply with adsense.

Exactly, it is very simple but if they are linking back I doubt they will mind

Of course they will mind, you should never steal content from anyone.
I have de-indexed over 4 websites from Google due to them stealing content from me.

When you do arbitrarily of course it is a violation but like ezine articles where they want their links to spread do you they will mind? Like I said there are many factors.

No, there are not many factors.
Ezine articles allows people to use the articles if they follow the terms: http://ezinearticles.com/terms-of-service.html
If you do not have the rights you could end up in a lot of trouble for taking others content...

    It's simple.

This is something that I don't believe. I don't possibly think Google would do that. Or would they... LOL

Well I would say its plausible, because
    a) Its in their TOS to not allow adsense at crap content
    b) but people have done it before and still manage to earn.

exactly google allows ezine articles to be used as long as you follow ceratin rules, so those are factors to consider, someone earlier said you using ezine articles will get you penalized, now it's if you follow rules then you will be fine. I copy content with someone's permission then I am fine, someone in here looks at it and says, "oh you copied content, you will be penalized" guess what I will not. Many factors to consider.

So True. Giving the credits with the source link would benefit.

But hey its up to you :)
Unless though if its a matter of quoting etc, that aspect would be something considerable.
