Adsense mystery

I have a website that for some reason shows irrelevant ads or no ads at all at it's front page. The url is: http://www.EvonyGuide.com

If I add a ?whatever after the url I get relevant ads, even though it does nothing to the page overall. Like: http://www.EvonyGuide.com?whatever

Does anyone know how I can get these relevant ads to my front page without typing this ?whatever stuff behind the url.

I had the same problem with some posts, and then just changing the name of the post gave relevant ads on them, what name I changed it to didn't matter. I can obviously not change the name in the main page case. This is not a new website and it suddenly happened this morning.

That site is showing ads. Your page description is way to long, make it shorter and more to the point.

You can section target and you can use anchor text to link in and out of your site to help google understand what it's really about.

    This line you mean?
Evony strategy tips, help, wikis, guides, how to and Q&A, videos and browser game news.

Good to hear you guys are getting the right ads, I changed a plugin now and some adsense code so it seems to work better, but still not all ads are showing up for me, and now and then I get a bunch of text adds for self defense techniques which the site has nothing to do with.

Remember that, unless you opt out of it, Google will show ads on your site that are INTEREST-related also, they don't necessarily have to do with the content of your site. Say you've been surfing all day looking at expensive cars because you've just started adsense and figure you'll be able to buy one next month.

Google tracks that...then, when you view your site which has nothing to do about cars, you MAY be shown car ads just because of what you've viewed previously.

Why does just typing in this:

    http://www.evonyguide.com/?something

give me relevant ads though? It doesn't seem to be a problem with the content of the pages then, or that section targeting would do anything, does it?

I am getting some ads, but low paying ads that are targeted to self defense stuff that I have no interest in and that the page is not about. Just doing this ?whatever stuff behind the url the relevant ads show instantly.

    Hmm, now actually
    http://www.evonyguide.com/?whatever
gives the wrong ads, maybe cause I've typed it in too many times? While if I use a totally random word there the right ads show. So it seems google puts the wrong ads there after the page has been loaded a few times with a keyword like that.

It works better now, I changed themes and also fixed a plugin I was using. Still I get these self defense ads now and then, maybe google just thinks about what's good for me and wants me to work out more or something, who knows..
