    Hay all!

I'm new to this forum so be easy on me :)

I've started a blog in croatian with adsense for search a month ago just to see what adsense is in real life. Next I've opened an http://adsense-cro.blogspot.hr"]adsense blog which is written in english just to see what is adsense for content. Now I know how it works but why opened this thread is this question:
Which niche is in your opinio better a) software b) soccer
I want to create a new website but which one first?

btw software site has a lot more comepetiton and banner/ad blindness factor but I think that ads weight more... is it true?

Thank you very much for your replys,

    Sasha

Personally, if your interest and knowldege of the two subjects are identical, I would be inclined to go with Soccer. You are correct that the amount paid out per click may be lower but its a less crowded market.

Add to that the World Cup coming up and you have more oppurtunity to grow your site. I imagine CPC will also go up during that time as advertisers try to get a piece of the World Cup pie.

Sport, yes, but how "big" are soccer ads?

I live for soccer so... :)

yep, i'd say football too, especially if that's something you like, cause :

    geeks make websites
geeks love / hate / know about software

as a result plenty geeks have software blogs

football fans usually don't make website
geeks make website but not usually about football

as a result there would be less saturation in football sites than in software sites

a website will be a great idea. And as you said that you already have a blog on football, the new website shouldn't have problems in attracting users to it.

I know nothing about cricket :) but I was thinking about that kind of web site.
About that, how much would it take to maintaine that kind of web?
Lets say it was just about football, I guess around 1,5 hours per day?

I would have thought that football is very seasonal, and has a fairly short peak period. It's only when there are important matches on that you get a kind of football frenzy going on. It's the same with all sports, really. So you'd have to concentrate on something else for the rest of the year when it naturally goes quiet.

    I don't agree with that.
Football is played all the time, there are so many games, cups, leagues etc...
World Cup is just a peak of all those things.

But maybe your right, we will see ;)
