    Hello Everyone!!
I have been visiting this site often and have found it very useful. So I decided to join it.

I had started my own blog on blogger (Don't want to reveal it now :D , but related to Education in India) and had learned SEO techniques and applied them.I did NOT create this blog to earn money , rather to learn SEO/SEM in general.
I did NOT spend any money at all (in advertising , buying traffic etc.). In short I didn't try out any tricks.

I did the SEO in July and today , (analytics)though daily unique visitors are few(avg 7 per day now, 90%+ from India) , many of my articles rank in top 10 when relvent keywords are typed!

I decided to apply for Google Adsense(Monetize your Blog option) but after showing their public services ads for 2-3 days , they disabled my account :confused::(:(:mad:

I had read a lot of horror stories about Google being very mean and all , so decided not to appeal or anything(Hey , I didn't have a dime in the first place:D)

But a few days back , I filled up their appeal form and I got this reply :
    ******************************************
    Hello Hari,

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. Unfortunately, after
reviewing your application, we're unable to accept you into Google AdSense
    at this time.

We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below.

    Issues:

    - Unacceptable site content

    ---------------------

    Further detail:

Unacceptable site content: In order to participate in Google AdSense,
publishers' websites and application information must satisfy the
    following guidelines:

*Your site must have been active for at least 6 months before you apply
    for AdSense.
*You must provide accurate personal information with your application that
matches the information on your page.
*Your website must contain substantial, original content.
*Your site must comply with Google AdSense program policies:
    https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=48182 which
    include Google's webmaster quality guidelines:
    http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35769#quality.

If your site satisfies the above criteria in the future, please resubmit
your application and we'll review it as soon as possible.
    **************************************

My site was just 1o days old when I applied. But I had got great organic traffic(During the first few days , 30+ unique visitors per day, even 110 on a particular day! ).OK maybe not great acc. to all you pros , but it was good.A lot of genuine comments were posted.

Discussion of the points in the letter :

    1) Is there really a 6 month rule?I have heard people getting Adsense done in a week. That is why I decided to wait 10 days after launching my blog. Also , I kept updating it every 2-3 days before applying .

2)Accurate Personal information:I used my real name in the adsense account , but in my blogger profile , I fooled around and used my nickname(very different from my real name). Also I wrote a lot of funny/sarcastic stuff in my Blogger profile.

3)My content was great , original and fresh. My target audience was very happy with it.

4)Yeah it complies with all policies.Nothing copied , all clean and safe stuff.

    5)How exactly do I resubmit?

So what do you all think about 1) to 5) ?

PS: I really thank Google for replying , I didn't expect that they would actually take my appeal form seriously.

I'm not certain, but I would wager to say that part of the issue is the site is on blogger, and it is your first site. If you had other sites already in the adsense program, it is likely that you would not have a problem adding this site in.

You might invest in a domain name and throw a wordpress blog together and try your luck without submitting with the blogger site.

I got approved after 2 days although my blog is rather new, that was back in April 2006, 3 years ago, now the rules have changed. Either you like or not you must follow the new rules set by Google which is a lot stricter than before.

Maybe the 6 month thing is fairly new. I got my account awhile back. My domain was parked with no content for years. Then one day I decided to start using it. When I applied I had a big under construction on it with no content. Obviously I was denied. So I put together some content in a week, then reapplied and I was accepted. I did own the domain for years but no content. Content was only a few weeks old at the time. So if there is a 6 month rule I would guess that is for the actual domain rather than 6 months worth of content.

I've only recently heard people mention the 6 month thing.

Relax bro, we got better eyes :p

AdSense rules are getting tougher month by month, even my two accounts got rejected because of 6 months rule.

Have to wait 6 months, meanwhile grow respect for your site :)

You should try with alternatives, looks like Google is having enough publishers these days...

Yes it does, 1 adsense account can be applied with multiple blogger/ what ever account without bording by 6 month crap rule.

Don't thinking horror about these, it doesn't matter how old the blog or which account the blog, the rule might be on just for the most first time blog for adsense apply.

The easiest method to get a Google Adsense account approved is by using the Google pages. Create a small google pages site of just two or three pages. then apply for adsense account. You will surely get it. :)

If you already want to have online ads in your account, and you're unwilling to wait for Google's 6 month requirement, then try some Adsense alternatives. :)

Wow I have never seen this 6 month rule before.

I dont think it is set in stone... it will just be one of the reasons they might give if they reject a site.

If you have an extremely good quality site, I dont think they will care if it is new.
