Let's say you have a website, or a few, that you cared about creating. You wrote a few useful articles, and let them be to never edited again.

Now, you've been having these websites for a year.

Did you notice any difference in CTR increase? Logically that should happen as Google continues to optimize their ads and match content on your pages.

Just wanted to see what other people's results are.

My CTR has been steadily increasing for 3 months, from 1.30% to 2.01%.

But I have been slightly optimizing my sites and articles... So, I can't tell if its a result of my optimizations or the ads are improving automatically.

It works for me, its getting a bit higher every week/month. But i am talking only about 0,10% reaches in that case.

0.10% per week is a lot, or even per month. 1.20% annual growth isn't bad at all.

It's an interesting point which I was not aware about it. However I think the improvement can be very small to be considered seriously. So, the best way is to test too many places and colors until reaching the highest CTR.

Mine stays the same unless I make a point of changing things with a view to increasing CTR. I'd love to go over 1% but I can't see it ever happening.

Yeah, experimentation is the key. you need to experiment with ad placement and other factors to get better earnings. Incidentally Google will put higher paying and relevant ads in your site over time.
