I like to use Adsense Link Units at the top of my pages and other formats below. The problem: displaying Adsense link unit on pages with YPN ads I haven't figured out a way to display YPN ads as an alternative for a Adsense Link Unit when it is not available. YPN doesn't have link units so you can't replace it with a ypn link unit. I tried replacing an adsense link unit ad with a YPN regular ad in the alternative url but the whole ad doesn't show because the link unit ad is only 15 pixels tall. So my question is, is it ok to use a YPN as an alternative ad for the second ad on the page that is the first regular ad? The problem is that if your first ad is a link unit and you use an alternative ad for the second (first regular adsense ad) to display a YPN (when adsense is not available) then it's possible to have Adsense link units and YPN on the same page. From my understanding this would be against the TOS's... right? Has anyone come up with solutions for this problem? Hopefully I was able to state the problem so it can be understood, if not let me know and I'll try again.
You CAN NOT use both Adsense and YPN on the same page. There is no solution for this. Doing this will result in a ban from Adsense.

Solution ideas: Is there a way to change the 15 pixel setting for link units so a YPN banner ad can be displayed as an alternative? Any css tricks so that a regular ad would be the first ad to display public ads instead of the link units? Any other ideas to a solution?
there is no solution...you cannot use any other type of contextual advertising on the same page with AdSense. This was a grey area for a while but it isn't anymore......it's a no go.
Sorry, misunderstood your question. I don't think there is a way to change the size of the ad if an alternative ad is displayed. And you can't really change the height of it with css. Maybe there are some hacks, but that way you would have to change the adsense code, which will result in a ban. Don't think there is a solution to your problem. BTW, are your sites just some MFA, auto-content adding things, or is there some real content there?
flizz, I'm not violating any TOS as far as I know as I'm not running YPN with Adsense. I'm trying to find a solution to better display ads. Fablex, I don't have any MFA sites. I attempt to build high quality content sites and ads only help to pay for the expenses. Maybe the only solution to this problem is for YPN to develop text units as ads as well.
