AdSense link units not appearing; only a search box is seen - help please!

    Okay, I am doing a work for a client and I was tasked to place a link unit on his WordPress blog. I have installed the code a few minutes ago, but I am not seeing the links (the ads). I am only seeing "Ads by Google" and a search box right next to it.

    Can anyone tell me what is happening? I am not an AdSense user anymore so I have very little knowledge about this.

    Edit: BTW, I just found out that the search box appears whenever there are no relevant ads, but his blog is niche blog (and I believe that there are advertisers in this niche) and I see no reason for relevant ads to be in a scarce state.

    Give it time.. it can take 10 minutes to display new ad unit

    I think its a narrow place to view google link ads.

    Is it really like that? I checked some other sites with link units and they also have search boxes - is it possible that my country is "banned" from seeing link units?
