Can someone explain in simple words what Page CTR? What kind of Page CTR do I want? should I want a higher or lower one? Also what about Page eCPM? Thanks
Page CTR is click through rate, which basically shows you the percentage of page views for the particular page (or your site in general, depending on what you are checking) which ended up with the visitor clicking on an add. Higher CTR is better, but too many pages showing a high CTR can raise flags at Adsense. However, for some pages, especially if you only have few visitors, it's not unheard of to have 200% or more CTR. That's because one or two visitors may go to a page, and each click a couple of ads. Once you have heaps of visitors it usually evens out to much lower, as it's unlikely each visitor will click, or click multiple times. It really depends on your site niche, content, visitors etc as to what CTR you can expect. An overall site CTR of 10% is probably fairly good for most sites, but some have substantially more or less. Page eCPM (effective cost per thousand) shows what you would be paid if that page got 1,000 impressions, so you can compare it with other pages, based on 1,000 impressions. Or that's more or less what I understand anyway. Anthea.
