I added Kontera some months ago. They did not effect my adsense earnings (as far as I could tell). Personally I am not very fond of that kind of ads - but they do pay very well (around 30% compared to Adsense).
I see most of us unhappy with kontera...including me. I'm getting 3-4 cents clicks where as on the same site 20-25 cents per click from adsense.
Plus Kontera disappoints our visitors...Nobody wants that for sure...I myself sometimes get irritated to browse a website containing kontera.
hmm, Kontera paid about 1:30 to adsense... so for me, it was a drastic lowering. I guess Kontera has it's own formula though and we're just in different demographics/topics on our website(s).
Kontera is really great i get about $0.10-0.21cents just for having them on the site so its good for me
Kontera is not bad, but if you wan't to get the maximum out of your visitors with this kind of advertisement, you just HAVE to try Chitika Linx. 0.15$-0.30$ for one Click. Chitika did not work well for me because the ads were severely irrelevant to my site content. But I have heard that it pays better than Kontera. My Kontera revenue continues to rise.
We tried Kontera and Chitika RPU. We found Chitika's ad inventory was too limited to be effective on our site. Kontera on the other hand could handle our broad variety of content very well. Long story short, we dropped Kontera due to low payout. They came back and offered us a CPM deal that worked well for us. We've been a loyal Kontera partner ever since.
Kontera doesn't convert well for me; actually it's a horrible monetization service IMO and out of my experience...even when they "optimize" it for maximum earning potential. Stick with AdSense. Maybe use AdBrite or another service like Kontera (I heard there are better ones) to try and maximize revenue.
I wish they would offer me a deal. But I am not so sure at this point I would take it. I never received payment for my January 2008 earnings. I emailed them several times asking why I haven't been paid. Finally on Friday, I received an email from Josh in accounting. He said that they needed a certain tax form and my account payment was frozen. They would not issue payment until I faxed then the tax form. I immediately faxed the form on Friday. STILL NO PAYMENT. And WHEN were they planning on telling me that they needed this tax form from me? I live in the USA. I didn't need to send a form in the past to get my payment. I had major problems communicating with them about my first payment, a ton of confusion on their part. I have to email them several times to get a response regarding payment issues. So just a word of warning. I am surprised that more people have not complained about these payment issues, but of course this is the Adsense forum, not Kontera.
I'm testing Kontera for a month and I've earned $84. I send non-US tax form and form for wire payments but still not a single response. Their support sucks. Can anyone tellme how to find account manager?
It should be in the email you received when you were approved. I lost mine when I changed my ISP and email server.
March 17th here and STILL NO PAYMENT issued from Kontera!! I received an email from Kontera last week stating that I would be issued payment for my January 2008 earnings today. I have not received my payment. I sent them the tax form TWICE and they did say they received it. I have had nothing but nightmares in receiving payment from Kontera so far. I have had to send numerous emails both directly and through the website, and most go unanswered. Just a word of warning to anyone who is considering using Kontera!
