Discussion in 'Keywords' started by windy, May 11, 2005.

I expect adsense to show keywords about "loans", Like on the forums,
But it shows ads about"credit card",
What's the problem? how can I change it?
    Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Here is a site about loans.

Perhaps its the Premium Credit that is doing it. Its combining Credit with all the talk of money.

I looked at my site again and looked at windy's site. The thing we have in common is very high keyword density for certain keywords.

I would guess that Adsense is filtering the keywords that have too high of a density.

What makes it funny is that may site is making large gains in Google's SERPs today for the some of the same keywords (maybe coming out of the sandbox). They may be using different criteria/databases.

    Maybe its a bug?

You can try changing your headings. You are using the <font> tag for your heading. If you use the <h1> tag with headings that contain your keyword--loans--the AS bot will respond accordingly. For look and feel use CSS.

yea, you need to use your headlines. That is how the google algo determined which ads to serve. If you don't use enough headlines, you will get untargeted ads and PSA's.

I get a negative rep for my reply here? Wow. That's pretty low. Or maybe it was that spammer from last night. I'm getting punished for contributing here and that's not right.

I don't want to lose the privilege of having links in my SIG so it matters to me. I need to post less anyway, me and my borderline carpal tunnel.

You can try putting quotes aroud the keywords. Like "credit card" or "loan", but it will make your site look kinda wierd. Asside from that, there isn't too mcuh you can really do.

<H1> or <H2> would have more effect.

Some point of adsense, it's relevent to :

    letters in your URL.
    <H1> tag
    keywords dentisty (no too low/high)
    outer links to this page
    ....
