    you're right. As long ads are clearly separated from content, and ads can clearly be identified, you can post it anywhere even above the title. In fact Google says that the ads must be placed in box with border, now look the ads on about.com http://astrology.about.com/. They've just give a heading (Ads) and that's it. So as long visitors are able to identify the ads there is no problem with the placement
