I just checked the stats for one of my websites... and hahaha 100 clicks... **** drum roll please maestro .... **** $1.62 .... isn't that some B.S. ... Yes I know the routine... "it depends on your market" ... but please that's less than $0.02 per click.... WTF is google doing? Well just had to get that off of my chest.... Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Years...
LOL. Is this for real? I mean that must be the lowest cpc anyone has complained of here on DP, ever. It migh be a mistke, though.
It's not just your market, you also have to factor in whether you clicked on your own ads, whether the ads were Public Service ads, etc.
Earnings are WAY down from last year. I had way more PV's this year (and clicks) than last and my earnings are about 60% of last year's. Yet, when I make adwords ads for products, the cost is higher than ever.
I'll have to agree with Jfontestad. Other than knowing that the schools are out for a few weeks so no traffic of relevance should be expected on proxy sites, I could cry today as 3 clicks has brought $0.03 - which is something I have never seen before. By the way, the 3 clicks were on 2 different proxy sites too. Terrible really... Happy Holidays to everyone!
You are trying to imply google is keeping more for themselves than before. I doubt they will do this. Their record shows their payout ratio is pretty much the same year on year.
Same here... The number of impressions increased, the CTR increased, but earnings are either the same, or less than what I have seen for this particular site. Plus the ads are also not closely matched for some sites... The CTR is low on this site and I think non relevant ads could be the reason.
They are charging less for ads that are not part of their main sites, and then less again for partner sites...This is because they do not convert well. Try selling something on and then off the network...switch Publisher ads, or switch to some other well targeted ads, and you may be able to bring your earnings up...
haha.... i'm a little seasoned for that one.... I'm trying to seek other ways to bring in income, but i mean it's hard to find ways that won't scare away the visitors... being that i'm not selling a product and just providing a content service...
If I had those stats I would suspect someone is click bombing if the impressions are the same for any other day.
what is your site category ? we must know for not opening a site on that category . it's a terrible cpc
Well I'm up to 202 clicks and $3.33, so still avg. less than $0.02 ... the site in questions is indeed a MySpace resource site ... It isn't a turnkey site, it's all custom made... I do know that MySpace sites don't have much of a return as far as CPC, but I was expecting at least $0.05 / click ... I mean less than $0.02 per click is a bit outrageously low...
Today I had 3 clicks that brought $1.61. I consider that bad because my first click brought 1.27 and the others not so much.
You have to worry about this situation, as this inform me that there might be alot of fraud clicks that earn you $0.00 and some real clicks which earns you that $3.3 or $1.x So, be warned and take appropriate measures.
Are you guys checking partial day stats? There could be some reporting delays. Clicks and revenues are not always in sync. What's relevant and accurate is totals for previous days.
