Adsense Is Paying More Than YPN

    Yes it's true.

Also YPN bans many people if your check goes over $XXXXX a month due to "low conversions."

Maybe they could use their "blog" to explain how publisher are supposed to "convert" 1,000 vonage ads when they have nothing to do with your sites.

In closing I have another YPN invite.

I will sell it for 1 cents....

you sound really pissed wentworth. your last 5 posts are screaming your dislike of ypn. did they nail you? or are you just tired of their beta bs and inablility / unwillingness to fix their problems?

i still make more with ypn than google would or could ever pay. and of course i'll take that invite off your hands. i'll even give you a dollar for it.

to answer that conversion question; dont display vonage ads. if you cant get a page to target something other than ron ads, dont use ypn on those pages. its pretty simple strategy really.

You'd have to admit that checking every page on a weekly or daily basis might be considered a bit of a 'pain' ..
I have to agree with Wentworth on how YPN does things.. they give you krappy ads then terminate you for low conversions without any warning.. this is not the way to run a business.
Hopefully if/when YPn ever gets out of beta they will do things right.

agreed 100%. i have found however, that once a page targets, it doesnt lose targetting that often. except in the case of the last update where they really screwed things up and pages that were well targetted for a year and more suddenly lost targetting. that seems to have been fixed and my latest experience shows that getting new pages to target is a big giant pain in the ass.

hey, vonage ads are still better than nothing imo....but when no one clicks, it sucks. I wish YPN would just undo every change they have made since nov. I am making 1/6th of what I used to...

I hit $1,800.00 my 3rd month with YPN,, and got axed for international clicks..

I wrote and asked how after 4 years of SEO on a few sites trying to get visitors world wide, was I supposed to stop the international traffic???

My count was 113 countries were visiting.

What a circus and to this day it is the only time I wonder if doing SEO was the right thing.

The odd thing was 90 days later they sent the check for very close to the full amount.........

    Their loss!

You should consider yourself to be so lucky. I know someone who didn't get paid $x,xxx. They were like, yeah, we think ALL of your clicks are invalid... he was not a happy camper.

I wouldn't want to join them when their out of Beta if they do that now. If they are closing your accounts without paying you then it is really fraud on their part and not yours. They are blaming their publishers for their mistakes. They can't quite target the ads and they seem to be blaming it on your sites that your site is useless and can't convert.

Yahoo has been online near the start of the internet so they should know by now that "how to grow apples trees" will not convert on pages that displays "womens lingerie" for example.

Chocolate Ice Cream is ALWAYS better than Vanilla.

Where do people get this stuff?

Adsense may or may not pay more.

The reality is that if you are good at what you do CPA/CPM and CPS Affiliate Products pay better than both!

I walked out of adsense and will never turn back !
Google is suck with its bots.
New google adsense accounts are easily be removed/banned because of click bombs.

We know the web changed business top-down, but can it change the BASICS of business? I don't think so.

Then how is it that people(including myself) put ads on their sites not knowing exactly how many were shown(admit it, you don't), how many were clicked or even how much % of the ad price you are getting paid for????

You know those cartoons where the cat is walking on air just fine until it realises there is no ground under it..then it falls? Well, I think that is the whole business of contextual ads....webmasters just take the payout as a "tip" for a good job, but they don't really put a price to it or have any sort of power to negotiate a price.

Which, to me, is against the basics of business. Maybe offtopic, I just thought I'd get that out of me....
