i've found text ads to be better than image ads by far. Not only are they easier to blend, but you have several ads running in one spot, not just one.

 

For me, text ads performs the best. however, it depends on the type of site that you have.

What kind of question is that? do you think
they all work or get the same results
no matter what type of site they are on?

But i use the default, Text with Image

 

It never fails for adsense text ads to show on my site. But on several of my blogs, adsense image ads blends well too.

 

Text ads perform the best with 336x250 or 300x250.

Depends on the website..if you have a niche blog, text ads and link units will do better..and if you have forums, then image ads will do better. Link units are always useful to have either in blogs/websites/forums,etc.

 

as Tendulkar (not sachin) said, depends on the site. If you have a content website, stick to text only. I don't think image helps publishers as much as advertisers.

 

For me, Text ads all the way..Text Ad > Image Ad > Link Ad ..I haven't tried video Ad

 

I would go for text ads as well. In fact the worst here should be link units.
