So Adsense is just about 4 years old now... And Yahoo still doesn't have YPN out of beta yet!!!

I can't understand why it's taking so long for every other big internet company to even launch something that could compete with how Adsense was a couple of years ago.

How can they all be so incompetent?

    Yea -

Do you really want two companies that pay you a penny per click?

Maybe they ( Yahoo _ will succeed ) in that area...

As far as Americans are concerned, beta does not mean much as they able to sue it just like Adsense.

    Because they are dumb :(
If they would have so 'bright' engineers they would have made better their web search

I would argue that the "bright" thing to do is whatever works. Google has already figured it out, there's no sense in trying to reinvent the wheel.

yahoo still can't get their beta right. We will have to wait for 1-2 years before they launch it for international publishers. Compared to google, they are in 70s now.

I've been trying to work with Yahoo for the entire time they've been in Beta and they haven't changed a thing in that time. It still sucks. I've switched pages back and forth between Google and Yahoo a number of times and, except for one page, have always gone back to Google Adsense. Yahoo doesn't seem to be able to get their act together, even after about three years.

Well google is the number 1 search engine and most widely used. So more Publishers tend to go for google. Maybe YPN is really not making much or so. :D

I don't think Yahoo is in beta (it only shows on logo) its the full version of their program and thats the end and I think soon they'll just remove the name beta on their logo and continues where as they stays now..

i dont think yahoo are able to do somehting similar to adsense... google is famous enough ... and google offers nice services that i make use of, and i like it much. May be if yahoo invent something that beats google adsense then probably they have a chance to stay in the playground and make a real compete.
