I would agree that it would be incredibly difficult to make a living off Adsense, but as I've seen, its possible to make $10k a month from it. Its just for people that don't run sites that are trying to sell things it would be hard to just transition over to selling some random products on a site you've never sold anything from before.

Though Affiliate programs are good and may be better, Adsense is a different style of advertising and sometimes if the better style doesn't fit it, you have to go with what you got, and in my case, thats Adsense.

Now I'm not familiar with Affiliate programs like Clickbank, but unless Clickbank can sell computer parts, hardware, tools, gadgets and gizmos, I'm not interested.

that is true, adsense is contextual advertising, but it does not have to be any random product, you choose the offers you want to place upon your site and you test and change if they dont convert, that is one of the processes of affiliate marketing IMO.

I don't think adsense is dead, most people just don't know how to properly utilize it.

As long as there are adwords advertisers (you) buying ads in the content network, adsense will never die.

Man, you really need to put some meat in your blog posts. They intrigue me, but, quite frankly, they stink. I would almost be willing to pay you to make each post 1k words long just so I have something interesting to read. lol Seriously, instead of just saying "I made 8k today", add a little meat to it. Maybe a lot of meat. Reading bragging blurbs that are 5 sentences long just sucks. Ok, enough begging for substance. lol

Ppc, which is all you do I think, isn't really the same thing as monetizing a site (like with adsense). What you are doing is structuring a campaign that is designed to convert well for a single (or small sample set) landing page. That is just so opposite of a real content site (what adsense is made for) that it's hard to compare the two.

Thanks for the post though. It does make one wonder sometimes.

    :)

I'd be happy with $5 a day. I get about $10 a month! But I haven't been marketing at all lately, and it's still going up.

True, but I'm learning. Since I started blocking competitor's sites, my income has dramatically improved!

Here's the thing redz, it's much easier to get someone to click an add then to have them buy a product :/. Not saying affiliate marketing is worthless, you just need a lot of traffic to sell anything.

that is true but, let's say for example you get 5 cents per click and you get 30 clicks that will equal $1.50, but with those 30 clicks their is a possibility that you can get a lead off a product which will earn you from $5-$XX. That is what I am trying to imply in this thread, so affiliate marketing may be more profitable, I am not saying its for everyone because some sites are strictly made just to be adsense sites (content etc).

I don't see any changes in CTR and CPC that may lead to adsense fall... the only thing I see is that, if you have a poor traffic, then you are loser.

For me adsense is just add on for some sites that mainly affiliates , better than leave some spaces for nothing.
