i had all of mine and my friends and clients hosted on a godaddy.com dedicated servers with multiple ip addresses and then i switched to godaddy.com shared hosting and all, all of our adsense accounts went dropped 50%? i am dumbfounded. is it since the ip adress is now all the same, or that the sites are now interlinked with the same ip address and that makes adsense do smart pricing? help!!

It could just be that you were penalized in search engines, resulting in less targeted traffic

The IP address has nothing to directly to do with your earnings. If you are crosslinking your sites with the same class c ip, then google will assume those links are not unbiased and ignore them - which could affect rankings.

mjewel has a good point. AdSense will not penalize for the same ip address. However, the Google search engine may penalize if it finds lots of crosslinking sites owned by you.
