Adsense invisible on my site?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by Fedorpheux, Sep 10, 2007.

On one of my websites, http://www.lifeyak.net, I put Google Adsense ad code into the template and it was displaying fine a few weeks ago. Since then, I can't see it but it still says it is having plenty of impressions according to the report.

I've tried taking a look at the site through a free proxy browser but still could not see the ads. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

UPDATE: Thanks to the responses here, we decided that it was a browser compatibility issue (I still don't exactly know what made it break, though). I have since taken out the code entirely (wasn't really planning to make money with this site and I've been meaning to take the code out once I figured out what was wrong with it). If you see the ads at this point, I would be quite surprised...

I see your ads, no problem here. Do you have some type of adblocker on your browser?

No ads visible here, no blockers in place, either. You might seriously consider externalizing all your CSS code.

Not that I know of. In fact, I have Google Adsense on a few of my other sites and they display just fine. Same account and everything.

Has the domain been banned? I saw some "questionable" content on the left side when I was looking. Nothing too bad but you never know with Google.

I can see your ads in IE 6, but not in Firefox. Hope that helps

You must be using IE? I tried it in IE and I see the ad in the LifeYak gray-blue banner. That does NOT show up in Fx. Looks like it's a browser thingy.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. But it has been like this for maybe about 2 weeks now and that one post only in the last few days.

What is weird is that some people see them and some don't. Maybe it's some kind of browser compatibility issue, but I swear it worked with Firefox when I put it in there a few weeks ago and I'm pretty sure that I didn't change anything with it when it disappeared.

It's definitely a browser issue. Fx doesn't work, IE does.

Edited: Taking a look at your meta area, though, you could be borderline on content. Topics related to sex, drugs, relationships.... Might be a pretty gray area for Google.

Okay, that must be the issue I guess.

I think I'm just going to go ahead and take out the Adsense entirely, it's not the kind of site that I'm trying to make money with anyways. It's helpful to be able to isolate the problem first so thanks guys!

The problem has to do with the code inbetween ipb.javascript.begin and end
When I remove that, the ad shows up in IE and Fx just fine.
