So I was thinking... Since google is in the business of making money, wouldn't it make sense for them to promote pages that have Adsense code in them? I've read a few threads here that people strongly believe that Adsense has no relation to SERPs, and some of the search results seem to indicate this, but I think the inclusion of Adsense may be a part of the SERP calculations. I could be wrong, but it would seem to be a missed opportunity for Google if they didn't. What do you think?
Although I've never seen any proof of this, I can see the logic to your arguement. I recently registered a couple of new domains that had AdSense on them. They showed up in Google in a couple of days, but other search engines haven't found them yet.
I am not sure if they have any effect but from a business perspective it makes sense to choose a site to rank high in the SERPS displaying adsense rather than a site displaying other ads.
I can see the logic, but I have seen little evidence of it myself, I have been doing AdSense for years, across a few sites, haven't seen any SERP's changes I can't attribute to my own SEO. On the other hand, I do see help via using Google Webmaster tools...sitemaps, looking at the crawl errors and such.
I believe google indexes your website quicker since the adbot might notify the google bot, but I don't think it affects your site ranking.
