Adsense increase in earnings...

one of my sites has 990,000 page views a month on a content of 160 pages.

my index page serves ads that pay on average .3c a click.

last week i noticed that ads were not being served on the index page.
After looking through the content I found a word that was sex related with a link, after removing the word the googlebot spider read the page and returned ads within 24 hours.

Does anyone have an answer for why my clicks over the paste 7 days are now worth .83c a click ?

does turning ads on and off increase click payment ?

I suspect you are simply getting higher priced ads, now that you've removed some stop words.

I think, that since the 4th quarter is starting (which is a big retail quarter obviously), you are going to see adwords bids go up.

I've seen clicks raise 50% on a few words in the past week alone. I have #2 listing for a phrase that is suppposed to the hottest item this christmas - I'm already making about $20/day off that page alone. I can stock the product and probably make more, but I found out the dreaded *W* is getting it (along with lots of other chain stores) - so I probably will not.

If this year is like last year, adsense wise. Traffic will go up a little, but earnings will rise a lot higher as advertisers bid more to sell their stock before the end of the year.

when the stop word was put on the page the ads just stoped being shown.

for the last 11 months my clicks sat at 3c now they are over 80 c.
is google serving better ads now i have returned to the programe with the page ?

Does removing ads for a day or 2 increase bid prices when ads are put back on ?

I dont think taking ads down then putting them back up matters.

Its really impossible to tell *why* ads sometimes pay more than others. Its factor of bids (maximum bids by advertisers), random chance of the ad showing up, and lots of other things I'm sure.

I, personally, would not be surprised, that if clicks from your ads convert better for the advertiser (than, say, other sites showing the same ads), that you could get a higher payout from your clicks than if clicks performed worse (ie lower conversion rate). Not sure if it happens, but wouldn't surprise me at all.

Not sure about hottest, but the new gaming consoles, Xbox 360 etc., will be hot. I'm sure Ipods, the Ipod phone and other new gadgets will be hot as well.

I have some very nice xbox ps3 sites.
traffic wise they do not have much increase as the due dates loom they seem to stay pretty steady over the last 3 months.
I am not complaining if traffic stays as it is :D

I don't see how they could be related. Maybe the subject matter you chose is getting better bids these days. Congrats!
