Well I am student and have some part-times jobs. So far Google Adenses is bigger than my salary. But when I have some full-time job than job should be ahead Google Adsense income.
so adsense is higher paying than your part time job (may I ask what it is). Adsense is great for students..
one day I will live off Adsense income and quit my day job.. that will be perhaps a few years later...
i dont think its so hard to make your adsense income your salary. but i think u should work on some other internet marketing ways, affiliates etc
It all depends on what your salary at your day job is in comparison to your Adsense income, it also depends on how long you have been making this kind of money, meaning if you have been making an average of $1000 per month for 2+ years straight than that is a safe and stable income IMO. I agree that you should not put all of your eggs in one basket though, use Adsense along with an affiliate program like Clickbank, and sell ad space on your site, but get at least 3 sources of income going. If you can continue to bring in a steady amount for 2+ years I think it is safe. It also depends on how much of an entrepreneur you really are, many people that responded here are not (or did not sound to be), they just like the extra income and that is fine. However, a true entrepreneur takes the risk and quits their day job if they believe in what they're doing. But again I would not rely solely on one avenue for your income because as others said Google can cut you off just like that and you're screwed. Google cut me off once, I got the dreaded email saying my account was disabled. I disputed this because I did nothing wrong and got my account re-instated, but it took several emails and almost 3 weeks before I was making money again from Adsense.
I think that it is best to stick to education. Not everybody is so lucky in the sense of getting a sufficient amount of revenue from Google. Sure, if you have the ability, will, and skill to do so go ahead. But since there are so many variables such as getting banned, different click rates, etc. It is not a steady payout salary. If I anything I would choose to do an internet job part time. I go to school 7 hours a day, and when I come home I have to study, extra curriculars, have fun (tv, games, etc.), and then I go to the computer and work on my websites. Hope that helps.
Even if you make a good amount of income through Internet, there are drawbacks like no health insurance. Most companies provides this and other benefits when you are in a full time job.
I've been earning from adsense for last one year. But still my salary is much ahead than adsense income. If adsense income goes with this momentum I expect another one year to reach both figures match.
