Hmm.. if you don't know that you'll be surprised the number of "big sites" they own Youtube, Flickr to name a few.
Thanks guys, these are great responses. This is good encouragement. Our oldest blog is only a couple months old at this point with around 20 uniques a day and a click or two a week. Most of our marketing is comprised of article marketing (ezine, proarticle, buzzle, searchwarp, etc.) as well as submitting to directories. We've tried to build links by directly contacting sites that rank high for the keywords we're targeting, although havent had much success there yet. Based on what I've read on here and elsewhere this seems to be a solid approach....I think we just need to stick with it longer. I've read that when sites hit a year google gives them more "credit" and tends to rank them higher in the results...any truth in this age=authority thing?
