Adsense income is very low - Need help

Hi Friends,

This is my first post in DP.

My site www.tolly2holly.net is running with Live TVs, Photo galleries, wall papers, recipes and so on.

My site is still under construction in some areas but last two weeks It had around 25K visits and 79 clicks. But the adsense income is around 2.50 €.

Could you please advise me, if placement of the ads are good.

Where did traffic come from? Also you are not allowed to put Adsense on page under construction.

 

Entertainment niche is not one of the high paying ones
And to make serious money you need serious and targeted traffic

79 clicks out of 25k visits is very low CTR. you need to focus on increasing your CTR which will earn you more. play around on your ad placement and try few color pattern. you might try blending in your ads if they are not already.

also, organic traffic converts lot more than referred or social media traffic so traffic source has something to do with it as well. if most of your traffic come from stumblupon or other social sites, then they will not convert much so focus on increasing your organic traffic

 

Yeah, 25,000 visits, with 1% CTR would be 250 clicks.
Perhaps its your ad placement as well?

 

Most people on vid sites dont ever click ads. i would suggest goin with some other company that you can sneak in posts that look like vids, but actually lead to affiliates.

You might want to change your niche. People looking at videos really don't have any reason to click on a ad and even if they did the advertisers targeting this type of traffic really don't pay much.

You might want to start a blog or site targeting a niche that solves a problem... then when you put content on your site and the searcher gets just enough info but not enough then they have a reason to click out on your ads to get to a site that will solve their problem.

Usually the niches for these types of problems will pay a lot more then a general video site would pay.

I have one blog that I made 4 weeks ago that I now get approx 115-150 views per day and I make around $10 per day with the traffic.

Both of your traffic and CPC is good enough but your CTR is low, focus on the CTR. Play around with your ads placement

the position is bad mate make them blend with the site so people think the ads are part of the site, check the ads in my proxy http://polisurf.info/
1 week new and it has about 420 clicks and it was down for 1 day, lost many users :S but oh well, try 400*15 text link ads put them next to some type of content so people think the links are part of the site
