    Hi,

I thought adsense was not allowed in popup windows?

How do image hosting websites get a way with this?

When a user clicks a link, it opens a window with nothing except the single image, and the adsense ad.

Also playing a game on newgrounds, When you click the "Play this game" link,

it opens a small window with the game, and a small ad. They use adbrite, but would this be allowed with adsense?

    Cheers.

I agree i think adsense does NOT allow pop ups. I am almost sure it says that in terms.

Some sites do anything they can to make money and when they get caught they cry about not getting paid.

Adbrite i am not sure about not a fan of them so no idea what terms are.

I think there terms are referring to auto pop-ups, Not "pop ups" initiated by the user clicking on a link.

Though for clarification you should contact Google.

ah, yes, that actually does make sense.

You mean windows that popup when you visit a page? with nothing but ads in.

As apposed to a new window with real contnet, such as the game?

Yeah. The popup on newgrounds is technically a new window so it's allowed.
