Hi All I have searched everywhere and cant find nothing offical. I know asking you guys still aint official but ill belive you more than half the other sites out there. Basically, i have a facebook application, i cannot place the adsense code direct to the page, the only way is to use a iFrame. Is this allowed? Am i allowed to place a google adsense ad in a iFrame and also what about the content on that iframe? Can i use keys words on that page to target the ads? Cheers, Alex
For a facebook App, you will be better off with a CPA offer. Try IQ, crush, or dating for starters. Some of these types of offers are against facebook TOS if you read it, but it seems every app out there is using them. It's where the money is. I think adsense would be a mistake. It also wouldn't be relevent. Finally, you shouldn't have started another thread for this. You would have gotten better answers the first time if you mentioned it was for a Facebook app.
nhc1987, Can you quote Google on this rule? I think you are mistaken. It is allowed, but not recommended.
Adsense is allowed in iframe. I remember reading a while ago that it says: ads may not show up right away or targeted ads may not appear, some causes may be iframes only 3 ads may be placed on a page, even if it is in an iframe this is very badly worded, but you get the point it is allowed
yeah i think theres no problem with using frames for adsense. I used frames to display adsense for the ajax site.
The risk is that you can display more than the 3 allowed ads on a page this way. It would be a violation if you made this mistake. With a regular page, if you place code for more than 3 ads, only the first 3 will be displayed. You won't get in trouble for this mistake.
the correct way to do it is on facebookoriginal dot com a full tutorial is there and a working example
