One annoying thing about Firefox I've noticed is that when I hover over the AdSense link with a cursor it doesn't show the target url on the bottom of the browser. That's why I still use Mozilla even though it's more bloated.

Adsense ads are basically IFRAMEd and have a fixed pixel width and height. I think it's FF looks at pixels differently than IE. You'll find it while setting font sizes in stylesheets, they look different in IE and FF.

Here's what I've been told by a really good javascript guy...

"Google really needs some help writing their scripts. They expose several of the cheats firefox uses to make it look to be a fast browser."

He knows enough about web development that I trust him, and it irritates him that he has to work around yet another set of problems with his web development to make adsense clean, aside from all the cross-browser, cross-platform issues he deals with already.

nevetS: care to explain a bit further ?
If I remember correctly, firefox appears to be quicker by being able to open more connections to the server so in theory it gets it's data quicker.

The guy I asked knows way more about firefox, javascript, etc. than I would ever care to. Basically what he explained was that firefox employs some tricks to make things appear to display faster and that google's scripting exposes those tricks. I don't know the specifics, but from what he was telling me, firefox is just as bloated and slow as IE, it just does some things to make it appear faster to the end user.

I don't want to get into a firefox vs. IE argument with anyone, and really I'm just repeating what I was told. I don't have much detail beyond this.
