    Anyone ever figured out why when you visit a site with FF and you look at the 728x90 ads, you can scroll the ads a little? Is this a coding issue on their end?

    Just in case people say 'i have no idea what you are talking about', i'll add that i notice the same behaviour with FF and I am curious what it is that causes it myself

    Yup - it annoys the hello out of me - especially as it seems to hijack your scroll wheel when you hover over it. And it ruins you page layout if its dark...

    Try here: http://photomash.diobach.com/

    Hover over the top adbank and move your scroll wheel - you'll see what is meant.

    I'm running FireFox 1.0.2 and don't see any problems with it. Are you running a different version of firefox?

    I has and does do that in every version of FF I've had.

    I have tried to "fix" it, but no luck. My code is right!

    I also notice this with every version of Firefox I've ever used.
    For me it seems to scroll like 5 pixels and that's it. Not a big deal, but weird.

    I wonder if the JS creates some sort of iFrame and Firefox thinks it needs to scroll, or if there is a 1-5 pixel clear GIF file at the end of each AdSense (for impression tracking) but it is hidden in the iFrame so Firefox will think you want to scroll to see the rest of what's in that area/frame.

    Eh, no real biggy.

    I believe it's a problem of adsense code or FireFox, never bothered to look into it.

    yes this happens in every version of firefox,
    Ive fixed the problem!

    I just enclosed the AdSense with a <DIV> im not sure if it matters but the div's dimensions are fully listed to be the size of the adsense ads. No more scrolling..

    Any where on my site: http://www.safetycorridor.com

    Ill even give you the class for the DIV:

    #googleAds {
     width: 179px;
     height: 610px;
     background: #FFFFFF;
     border-top: 1px solid black;
     border-left: 1px solid black;
     border-bottom: 1px solid black;
     padding-top: 7px;
    }
    Code (markup):
    Implemented on page with:
    <DIV id="googleAds" align="center">
    <google adsense code>
    </DIV>
    Code (markup):
    Now Ive got my ads in a larger div than necessary, if you were using a wide skyscraper width is 160 and height is 600 i believe and you wouldnt need any padding or borders. But maybe the borders or something like that is what is keeping firefox in line. Might have to experiment but thats what works for me.

    It does not happen (for me anyway) on any ad that is longer than it is wide. If it is wider than it is long, Leaderboard (728 x 90) etc... then there is a problem. I tried the div solution with no such luck.

    I came up with a hack that works pretty well to solve this:

    Feedback very welcome.

    If you use Firefox and visit any website with AdSense on in the format of 728x90 (plus a few others) you will see that the ads scroll in FF as you scroll over them with your mouse. This is really annoying as it sort of hijacks you cursor and is generally not pleasing to the eyes. It causes a very 'framed' looking response.
