I want to translate a site to be available in several languages but I'm not sure if that's allowed. Anyone know? Also who knows which language has more advertisers in it, French or Spanish?
yes it is. since your doing it just for adsense,i guess you'll just want to do it for the supported languages . remember, even if clicks from country/language are low,a visitor is a visitor and a click is a click.
Adsense works in any language where there is competition for goods or services. They usually pay less then English if not always. You can use Adwords keyword tool to check but I found the search numbers to be hugely inflated. But Adsense reads your content and places ads accordingly. Spanish and Chinese are the most popular and then German, Portugese and Japanese then French, Italian, Korean Russian etc. Best of Luck. I have pages in foreign languages and although they pay less there are often hardly any websites for the keywords so you get a large number of hits. Best of luck.
I pull in about 4,400 clicks per month with this site, and even I'm running out of ways to raise the bar so I thought even if I add a whole diff. language for the site and it gets 5% I'll be, at least, increasing revenue while attracting a whole new area of visitors. I just don't want it to destroy my ctr that I'm getting now or start showing diff. language ads in the english section.
Yes it is allowed of course. It would be better to use a subdomain or just create another domain name if you don't mind the registration fee I don't know which one would pay more per click french or spanish, but I'm guessing it would be french, but not sure french would have as many visitors though. In the end traffic is more important than CPC because at least you can have a role on traffic but not so much on CPC.
Yes, you can translate your website using any translator. There is no problem in accordance to Google or adsense.
