Hello: Have you tried new beta blogger? (http://beta.blogger.com) I'm not able to run AdSense on a blog in beta blogger. There isn't a link to AdSense in the template section, as is in standard blogger, and I've tried to insert the code in the layout editor as a javascript page element, but it doesn't work. I've emailed blogger team for help, and I'm waiting response, but wanted to know if anyone has run Adsense in beta blogger.
I haven't tried it yet. I'm sure, the Blogger team will fix this issue. All my Adsense codes are in Blogger, and if it doesn't work in the future, I'm doomed =(

thnx louis. But i think that violates the TOS of adsense! Anyway I have tried it. Also the number of posts have to decrease on the homepage.
Dear YanSniim, I have send an email to google adsense about this matter and here the reply: Hello Louis, Thanks for your email. We are aware of this situation. You are permitted to remove the comment tags. However please keep in mind publishers are not allowed to alter the AdSense ad code for any reason. Once you've generated the ad code in your AdSense account pages, you may not alter any portion of the code or manually change the layout of the ads. In addition, I understand you are having issues with the relevancy of ads displayed on your site. Please understand because crawling is done automatically by our bots, we can't control how often your pages are indexed. When you update a page, it may be 1 or 2 weeks before the changes are reflected in our index. Due to the dynamic nature of a blog it might difficult for the ads to be relevant to the current content of your site. One suggestion may be to implement section targeting. Section targeting allows you to suggest sections of your text and HTML content that you'd like us to emphasize or downplay when matching ads to your site's content. By providing us with your suggestions, you can assist us in improving your ad targeting. We recommend that only those familiar with HTML attempt to implement section targeting. To implement section targeting, you'll need to add a set of special HTML comment tags to your code to mark the beginning and end of whichever section(s) you'd like to emphasize or ignore for ad targeting. The tags and instructions for adding them to your HTML code can be found at http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=23168 . As you may know you can also prevent Google ads from up to 200 sites from showing on your site by using the Competitive Ad Filter. I also wanted to let you know about the AdSense preview tool, which will help you easily determine the destination URL of any ad you wish to filter. Since clicking on the ads on your own site is strictly against our program policies, I encourage you to use the 'Show selected URLs' feature of the preview tool to determine the destination URL. For more information, please see https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/topic.py?topic=160. I hope these suggestions will resolve your targeting issues. Thanks for your understanding. Sincerely, Sunil The Google AdSense Team Wish all happy blogging and make a lot of money with adsense.Huray~~!! Original from here

I implemented this in my blog. See My blog. kaizenlog.blogspot.com However I have one thing left. Where do I add the section targeting tags? in the templates in blogger beta. Thanks in advance andh happy new year.
I'm really not at all happy with Blogger, it's just not strong enough to keep the pace with the other guys. There are some serious short-comings, and the issue with AdSense is just one of 9 I've compiled and soon to be 'blogged about. With all of the time Google have had to plan this latest update to Blogger and then totally overlook the issue of integration with their other applications, the mind truly boggles at the thought. Just not good enough...
I've had section targetting in place for about 2 months now, and recently, I've been getting lots and lots of adverts for 'blogging, even though I've been extra careful not to mention 'blogging in my content...
