Adsense in a Banner Exchange?

Discussion in 'Guidelines / Compliance' started by mizt, May 1, 2005.

Say I happen to get a lot of impressions (1 million) in a banner exchange. Is there anything in adsense tos that says I can't use my adesne code in the banner exchange? Am I a revoluntary thinker :D or just a dumb kid who isnt sure about the TOS?

I think it's OK so long as these terms are qualified:

    - You have the site owners permission
    - The pages serving the impressions isn't also serving their own AdSense Ads, or something that violates the AdSense TOS

I'm not sure though, I'd recommend you ask Google themselves.

    You are asking for trouble.

Google will allow you to put adsense on a site that is abiding by the adsense rules...you don't know each of these sites individually do you?

You dont know that they would all qualify and have content on each page, and not use any contextual advertising...

seems like a lot of risk for small reward.

I'd agree with afterhim. Your banners may appear on sites that don't fit the tos for adsense.

Yep, that is just what I was thinking, and they will probably nail you for it.

If it ends up on a site that is running their own Adsense ads you will be violating the TOS. There is no way to know if that happens or not.

Google doesn't allow multiple Adsense from different publishers on the same page.

I just lost my $350 because I placed google adsense code into iframe of a banner exchange.... I have one banner exchange which works with iframes.

ANYONE knows some service similar to adsense which will allow placement of ads within iframes?

    thanks...

Sounds smart, but not safe. I don't think it would be worth it.

This looks definitly like something google will dislike. I say don't go in there.
    The rewards are too small
