Adsense image ads Does anyone know if you get paid top rate if an Adsense image ad is clicked compared to a text like as only one Adsense image ad is shown Sorry if this has been asked before
In theory the image ads will only be shown if they are expected to generate more revenue for you than text ads. If you get paid the same per click, the image ad must therefore have a click through rate equal or greater than the combined click-through rate for all the text ads that could have been shown in its place. With a lower payment per click, the click through rate needs to be even higher, while it can be lower if the payment per click is higher for the banner ad. Geir
I haven't tried Image Ads yet. My guess would be that the CTR would be lower, anyone want to enlighten me?
Well Ive emailed them to see what the line is and will post reply Ive been running images now for two days and will give it five to see if its different - image ads are showing
i set all my sites to use image or text ads. doesnt really bother me although image ads in theory should attract more clicks because they are more enticing...in theory
Well here is thier reply ------------------------------------- Hello, Thank you for your email regarding AdSense image and text ads. Although we do not disclose the revenue share for Google AdSense, our goal is to enable publishers to make as much as or more than they could with other advertising networks. We provide detailed online reports that enable you to track your earnings. Once you start running ads on your site, you can view your earnings at any time by logging in to your AdSense account at https://www.google.com/adsense . Clicking on the 'Reports' tab will show you the page impressions, ad clicks, click through rate (CTR), your average earnings per click, and your total earnings. This information can help you get an idea of how well the programme is performing for you and how much you can expect to earn over time. Please feel free to email us at if you have additional questions or concerns. -------------------------- Well did not think they would say Yes or No but
