Adsense Image Ads

I have just switched over to using image ads on my blog.

Has anyone got any advise? Have seen seem CTR go up or down?

 

I think your CTR sud go up because image ads have less number of ads per block that test ads. On the other hand, I have seen that CPC of such ads are also less.

 

They are more eye catching but they pay less per click. I suggest using both text and images and experiment with ad placement and colors. This way you will maximize your results.

Those saying that people are ad-blind for image ads are absolutely correct - and in most cases, using image ads instead of text ads lowers your CTR.

Having said, there are cases where image ads produce a MUCH higher CTR than text ads - one specific case that comes to my mind is one of my video sites where image ads work wonders - most likely because some people confuse the ads with video links (thumbnails). For the record, no - I don't use any stealth tactics - all my ad placings are perfectly in accordance with the rules and guidelines.

 

don't stick with image ads only. Text and image ads are the best.
