Adsense Illness - is this normal?

I have only recently started to see any return from my adsense ads. At first I checked every week then as I started to earn I checked every day but now I find I am checking all the time. I check first thing I wake and last before I go to bed and numerous times in between. I just can't stop checking. How sad am I? Is this normal? Will I get better?

What are you doing after you check your adsense? Are you updating your website, adding new content to it?If you do this than your not sick, but if you check your adsense and after that you do nothing, than you probably don't make much, and you click on your ads from wherever you find internet.Try to improve your traffic and CTR and than you will be happy to check your adsense and not worry if your sick, because that will be the right thing to do.

Set a goal that you'll check in the morning, once during the day, once again before bed. Don't allow yourself to check more. Maybe that will help. :)

I think a lot of newbies did this initially.

I am definitely guilty of this 'sickness' though I really don't think it's a bad thing at all. Nothing wrong with tracking your earnings and enjoying your success. Whatever makes you happy! :)

I often still check a few times a day, as long as you're being productive the rest of the time don't worry about it.

If its just a running total you want then use the free Firefox adsense extension, stats are updated live on screen, no need to go to Google.

I use the adsense firefox extension, I can tell by 10am how much I will make for the day. 10am is usually about 10%, 2pm is about 50% and 6pm is about 2/3 of my day's earnings. (seems to be a regular pattern)
