I'm not sure why this happens. The ads just don't appear. the code is there.

    check it out.

next to the picture in the post, there should be an ad. if you look in the code, everything is there. but no ads. I've been looking at everything but I guess I'm missing something here... help!

They are there alright. You're probably blocking JavaScript in the browser.

no, not the ones from the right. A small vertical one should show exactly next to the picture.

None right next to the image. There's a gap. Use alternate ad URL to see whether its just that Google has none to display.

if google wouldn't have anything to display, the public service ads would show up. I tried with an alternate url...still nothing.

Not always PSAs. I get just empty spots on my blog as well sometimes.

PSA's only appear in the first ads area. The second and third ones remain empty if there are no more ads available.

Is it just that sometimes gg doesn't have an ad to display? Or maybe it cannot parse the page to decide what to show?

If AdSense is showing any ads, that means they've crawled the page and determined the content. If they only have one or two blocks of ads to serve, they will not serve PSAs in the remaining slot(s) (assuming you have more than one slot for AdSense). I'd guess this is because they don't want the PSA links competing with the links in their ads - but that's purely conjecture... ;)
